With calligraphic form similar to these quadriptyches, painter Bryce Marden created "Etchings to Rexroth" in honor of the writer/translator of Chinese Taoist poet Du Fu. I dedicate these two works to contemporary writer/translator David Hinton, who uses ancient Chinese poetry to inform his walks for the book, Hunger Mountain, named after a peak in northern Vermont.
